NEW: If you have visited an African country in the 3 months prior to your arrival in Korea, you must provide a medical certificate stating that you are not infected with the Ebola virus.

For the French, there is no need for a visa if you stay less than 90 days, whether in tourism or business (if commercial prospecting, talks).

Warning

Visa is required in Business if there is technical intervention (payday service for example) or compensation by a Korean company , as well as for diplomats and long-stay officials, researchers, students, trainees, artists, sportsmen, religious, teachers, Joint venture.

ATTENTION new standards regarding identity photos for a visa application:

  • The photographs must be in color and date no more than 6 months.
  • Format: the photo must be 35 mm wide by 45 mm high. The size of the face should be 25 to 35 mm.
  • Background: the background must be plain, light-colored and borderless
  • Look: the subject must present his face in front of the objective.
  • Head: head must be bare, headgear prohibited except for medical or religious reasons. They should allow to see all the elements (except the ears) of the face from the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead.

  • 1 letter from the Société Française indicating the seniority and current position of the person who is traveling, signed and bearing the commercial stamp

STUDENT

  • Visa application form completed in English with address and telephone in Korea. Please indicate the number of times you have visited Korea or you will be refused.
  • Certificate of Admission from the Korean University
  • Certificate of mentioning an amount that the student (or his parents) currently has on his / her account, knowing that this amount must be greater than that indicated on the certificate of admission (or photocopy of the last month's statement of account)
  • Copy of the school certificate (or student card)

Visa valid for 3 months from the date of issue

Student visa : single entry visas, possibility to transform this visa into multiple entries at the Immigration Service in Korea, by requesting 'alien registration card'

Visa valid from 1 to 90 days according to the request.

The French can only obtain a single entry visa
