To enter the territory just present the passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry, one must have 2 free pages, the airfare to /, and proof of livelihoods (map banking or cash).

 

Beyond 90 days or if you are not an exempt country requires a visa. You will find below the list of documents required for obtaining your visa.

Warning: for most visas , you must within 30 days of arrival you register with the Federal Police , which receives only by appointment. It is advisable to anticipate this appointment before arrival.

- To have the right to gainful employment , it will have to obtain a temporary visa III or V.

- For a stay related to the adoption of a Brazilian child , it will be required with a temporary visa II

- For any activity , even unremunerated , relating to IT and technical assistance in Brazil, he will have to obtain a temporary visa V.

VISA TEMPORARY

 

VITEM I : educational exchanges , scientific , religious or social volunteerism , athletic- training miners

 

EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGES

According to the Normative Resolution 49/99 of the National Immigration Council - CNIg a visa " VITEM I" will be issued to high school traveling to Brazil to make a regular course in the context of a cultural exchange program .

The visa in this case will be valid for one year * , with no possibility of extension

* Under the Visa Waiver Agreement between Brazil and France, this visa will be issued to French citizens if their stay exceeds 90 days.

 

Documents required by the establishment of educational exchanges :

• Certificate of Incorporation
•     proof of registration in " CNPJ - Cadastro Nacional de Pessoa Jurídica " Brazilian Tax Man
•     Two forms " Programa de Intercâmbio of Jovens " ( Youth Exchange Program ) , to obtain from the Rotary Club.

 SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

According to the Normative Resolution 82/08 of the National Council of Brazilian Immigration - CNIg a Temporary I visa will be issued to foreign nationals traveling to Brazil * as:

I - scientist, teacher, researcher or professional participating in an event (conference, seminar, conferences) and some predetermined, through the collection of a pro-labore for a non extendable stay of 30 days

II - scientist, teacher or researcher at a foreign educational institution or research and development duly recognized within the scientific-technological cooperation, without a contract in Brazil

For the Consulate General can issue a visa, it is imperative that the applicant is physically in France for at least a year. This requirement also applies when the visa is applied through a travel agency or a third person.

* French citizens are exempt from visa for stays not exceeding 90 days.

•     For the stock: certificate of scholarship granted by CNPq, CAPES, FINEP or by a foundation supporting research. The duration of the scholarship must be indicated.
•     For non stock: proof of monthly transfer of a minimum of 700 euros for the plaintiff, throughout his stay in Brazil, either by yourself or by those of their guardians (if appropriate, officials legal applicant must also submit a letter from their bank and their tax form on income) OR proof of income receivable in France

SPECIAL CASES :

To enter the Indian territories: a copy of the permit issued by the National Indian Foundation ( "FUNAI").

For scientists, teachers or rechercheurs having an employment contract or admitted after a public competition with a Brazilian institution of scientific and technological research: a copy of the permit from the Ministry of Labour and Employment of Brazil ( "MTE") .

For scientific-technological cooperation activities associated with bioprospecting: a copy of the license of the Board of Management of Genetic Heritage of the Ministry of Environment of Brazil ( "CGEN / MMA").

For scientific-technological cooperation activities not associated with bioprospecting: a copy of the research permit issued to the applicant by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Brazil (MCT) and published in the Official Gazette (DOU) .

Harvesting data and materials in the context of a program of grants or research support sponsored by the National Research Council (CNPq), by CAPES, FINEP or state foundations to support federated research: a copy of the invitation made by the responsible public agency funding.

For harvesting and access to genetic resources and / or traditional knowledge associated with them, with or without bioprospecting: a copy of "Termo de Compromisso".

VITEM II : BUSINESS

The visa " VITEM II" may be granted abroad who travel to Brazil without perceiving Brazilian source of remuneration for :

1 - participate in a meeting

3 - a business visit

4- undertake a financial or administrative control

6 - make a business development

7 - participate in an exhibition or fair

8 - conclude an international adoption

VITEM III : Artistic residence and/or sports

According to the Normative Resolution 69/06 of the National Council for Immigration- CNIg a Visa VITEM III may be granted to that trip to Brazil for an artistic or sporting stay , either to attend a specific event , without perceiving salary in Brazil, either technicians or other professionals subsidiary entertainment shows in the work of the artist or athlete .

The VITEM III visa applications should be addressed directly to CNIg ( the Ministry of Labour and Employment of Brazil) by the company that wants to hire abroad.

• The biometric passport or scanning is not required

NB : Article 5 of the RN 69/06 provides for a tourist visa to the participants of sports competitions / art competitions unpaid by Brazil (salary or stamp ; no restrictions on pricing , including counting ) .

To apply for a tourist visa :

• official letter from the organizer stating that he should receive neither payment nor onsite ticket sales revenues
•     Other room normally required for a tourist visa application ( Vitur )

VITEM IV : Students and students trainees

 

Please note - If the student participates in an educational exchange program (Rotary, AFS, etc.) please submit the documents relating to the Temporary Visa I.

The visa IV student, is also intended for any student enrolled in elementary, technical, language, or other offered by duly registered institutions in the "Cadastro Nacional de Pessoas Juridicas" (CNPJ).

The course duration should be minimum of 15 hours per week and must be on the acceptance letter sent by the school. This visa does not allow the job.

IV VITEM a visa can be granted to foreign students * from any level (graduation or post-graduation), stock or not stock, including participating in a program called "sandwich" (RN 88/10) .

* The French Nacionality citizens are exempted from visa student for school stays not exceeding 90 days (Brazil-France Agreement). The visa is however required for school trips with a duration was 90 days.

1- STUDENT - Consular period: 3 weeks

•     original of the letter of acceptance of a student by a Brazilian university OR original proof Inscription in a Brazilian university recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC), the course duration to be shown.
•    for students enrolled in the course of Portuguese: it is required a minumum of 15 hours of weekly courses
•     for students re-enrolled in the same school and who have not renewed their stay in Brazil: it is required, in addition, a certificate of frequency and good success from the University for the period
•     for postgraduate students: It is required, in addition, a registration certificate at the University
•     student of 3rd year of thesis supervisor letter indicating the subject matter, the progress of research and the probable date of the defense
•     Fellow students: scholarship certificate which should include: the monthly amount to be charged (700 euros minimum), the duration of the scholarship
•    commoner: Proof of ability to support themselves for the duration of the stay (eg payroll or tax form income parents)
•    proof of medical insurance and repatriation valid for the entire Brazilian territory and for the stay in Brazil. We can provide it to you at an extra cost.
•     account mandate 40 € or 140 € for the French to be nationals (including 100 € of additional tax imposed by diplomatic reciprocity)
•     For foreign citizens: Also attach the completed information form

2 - STUDENTS - TRAINEES

IV VITEM a visa may be issued to the student internship ** for one year, renewable once for the same period.

** Internship: School education act under supervision undertaken in a workplace by the student of a regular headwaters , in order to prepare for productive work.

The French Nacionality citizens are exempt from visa for stays not exceeding 90 days ( Brazil - France Agreement). The visa is required for stays however a longer period than 90 days.

•     Birth certificate or family book or for foreigners who have resided previously in Brazil, "Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros" (RNE).

•     certificate of student status of the applicant, issued by a French university 
•     Fellow students: scholarship certificate which must include the monthly amount to be charged (700 euros minimum), the duration of the scholarship 
•     commoner: Proof of ability to support themselves for the duration of the stay (eg payroll or tax form income parents) 
•     proof of medical insurance and repatriation valid for the entire Brazilian territory and for the stay in Brazil 
•     If internship within 120 days: placement agreement issued by the French University, signed between the student and the party offering the course 
•     If internship over 120 days: tripartite agreement signed between the trainee, the party offering the internship and the Brazilian university recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) + a letter to the party offering the internship, stating that the intern will not sign the contract and will not receive compensation 
•     Mandate account 40 € or 140 € for the French to be nationals (including 100 € of additional tax imposed by diplomatic reciprocity) 
•     For foreign citizens: Also attach the completed information form

VITEM V : Technical assistance (with or without a contract), emigrated with Brazilian labor contract, intern with companies*, member of the ship crew

* According to the RN ( " Resolução Normativa " of the National Immigration Council - CNI) 42/99 , The VITEM V applies only trainee contract with a company in France for an internship with a subsidiary or Brazilian subsidiary , paid by a source from abroad.

 

A visa " VITEM V" may be granted to certain categories of travelers wishing to exercise a remunerated activity in Brazil , based on a contract made in Brazil:

- Expatriates (according to Normative Resolution 64/05 , the National Board of Immigration- CNIg )

- Crew members of a ship (RN 72/06 ) foreign citizens going to Brazil to pursue an occupation continues , on a boat or a foreign platform in operation in Brazilian territorial waters , and whose contract lasts up to two years **

- Technicians or professionals under contract of employment or internship with a public or private company in Brazil (RN 37/99 , 61/04 RN , RN 57/03 )

 

Documents required :

• Extrait de casier judiciaire nr.3 récent (moins de trois mois). Le visa ne sera accordé que sous présentation d'un extrait en cours de validité. Sauf dans le cas de visa temporaire assistance technique RN100/13
• Mandat compte de 100€ 
• Pour les étrangers ayant résidé anterieurement au Brésil : "Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros" (RNE)
• Pour les ressortissants étrangers : Joindre également le formulaire d'informations complété

• Accord à demander par l'entreprise brésilienne au CNI (Ministère du travail et de l'emploi du Brésil) Le Ministère du travail fera part de l'éventuelle approbation au Ministère des Relations Extérieures du Brésil, qui transmettra l'autorisation de délivrance du visa au Consulat à Paris. Cette autorisation reste valable 6 mois après sa délivrance. Il est conseillé de demander le visa dans les 5 mois.

Arrivé sur place il faut s'enregistrer auprès de la police des frontières et obtenir la carte RNE (carte de séjour) qui permet d'entrer et sortir du Brésil autant de fois que l'on souhaite.

• Attestation CNPJ de l'entreprise Brésilienne (siret)

• Lettre d'invitation originale ou copie scannée en couleurs de l'entreprise brésilienne, détaillée, rédigée en portugais, légalisée par notaire brésilien (cartório); dans laquelle il faut obligatoirement mentionner :
  -nom, tous les prénoms, numéro de passeport, nationalité et formation professionnelle du technicien 
  -la nature technique de la mission (très détaillée) sur quelle machine il intervient et le motif
  -la durée de l'intervention (dates de séjour et période d'intervention). Pour les assistances techniques elle ne doit pas dépasser 90 jours.
  -absence de contrat entre le technicien et l'entreprise brésilienne
  -la provenance de la rémunération du technicien par la société Française ou Brésilienne

Attention : désormais la durée de validité du visa sera la même que la durée du séjour indiquée sur l'invitation et les Français ne pourront plus obtenir que deux visas de ce type dans l'année, chacun de 90 jours maximum. Il faut attendre 180 jours après la délivrance du premier visa pour en obtenir un second.

• Pour le conjoint et/ou les enfants voyageant en compagnie du demandeur: selon le cas, l'acte de mariage, l'acte de naissance, le justificatif de dépendance légale, ainsi qu'un extrait de casier judiciaire pour les majeurs.

N.B.: Le compagnon/la compagne vivant en 'união estável' (union stable) avec le demandeur auront droit à entrer en tant que touristes exempts de visa (si français) ou à un visa touristique (VITUR) dans les autres cas. A leur arrivée au Brésil, le titulaire du VITEM V devra adresser au CNI, conformément aux termes de la RN 77/08, une demande de visa pour son compagnon/sa compagne.

A noter : Le consulat est en droit de réclamer tout document supplémentaire qu'il jugerait nécéssaire.

Ce type de visa peut être octroyé UNE SEULE FOIS à chaque période de 180 jours.

Dans les cas d'assistance technique d'urgence* définis par la RN 61/04, l'autorité consulaire pourra, à son gré, accorder un visa VITEM V sans l'accord préalable du CNI, pour une durée de 30 jours non prolongeables, une seule fois à chaque période de 90 jours.

* Telle que prévue par la RN 61/04, une situation d'urgence est celle qui met en risque imminent la vie, l'environnement, le patrimoine, ou celle qui a résulté en interruption de la production ou des services de l' entreprise, qui devra alors adresser sa demande directement au Consulat général, par lettre ou par télécopie, faisant attention de démontrer clairement les raisons de l'urgence.

** Le Certificat de vaccination ou Profilaxie contre la fièvre jaune n'est pas exigé à l'entrée au Brésil.
La vaccination est toutefois recommandée au voyageur non vacciné, ou vacciné depuis plus de dix ans, à destination de régions considérées à risques.

Le visa d'un membre d'équipage peut être retiré en son nom par un procureur de l'armateur ou de l'entreprise ayant affrété le navire, moyennant la présentation du document de voyage du membre d'équipage, valide pour le Brésil.

Conformément à la Convention Internationale du Travail, ratifiée par le Brésil, les membres d'un équipage seront exemptés de visa et pourront présenter leur Carte internationale d'identité pour marin, dans les cas suivants:

- cabotage (navire affrété, avec l'autorisation de l'administration brésilienne, pour voyages entre deux ou
plusieurs ports brésiliens), pour 30 jours
- navigation au long cours (entrée au Brésil en provenance d'un port étranger) **

 

ATTENTION! : étranger travaillant sur un bateau de tourisme :

RN 83/08: du 9 décembre 2008 au 8 mai 2009, l'étranger travaillant sur un bateau de tourisme qui vient au Brésil en voyage au long cours *, sans contrat au Brésil et qui n'est pas titulaire d'une "Carteira de Identidade Internacional de marítimo" (ou document équivalent) valide, OBTIENDRA DIRECTEMENT AUPRÈS D'UN CONSULAT BRÉSILIEN À L'ÉTRANGER LE VISA DE TRAVAIL PRÉVU PAR L'ART.13,V DE LA LOI No. 6.815/80, une seule fois à chaque période de 90 jours, pour un délai improrrogeable de 30 jours au maximum.

* Un voyage au long cours est, aux fins de la RN 83/08, "celui qui, en provenance d'un port étranger, ne demeure dans les eaux juridictionnelles brésiliennes qu'un maximum de 30 jours d'affilée par période de 90 jours, pendant lesquels le bateau ne procèdera pas à l'embarquement de touristes en territoire brésilien".

Un visa VITEM VI pourra être accordé à l'étranger se rendant au Brésil en tant que correspondant de la presse étrangère (journal, revue, radio, télévision ou agence de nouvelles), pour une durée maximale de quatre ans.

Un visa VITEM VI n'est accordé qu'avec l'autorisation préalable du Ministère des Relations Extérieures du Brésil.

 

PIÈCES À PRÉSENTER POUR UNE DEMANDE PRÉALABLE AU MINISTÈRE DES RELATIONS EXTÉRIEURES DU BRÉSIL:

• Bon de commande VSI en 2 exemplaires
• Passeport original avec obligatoirement 2 pages libres, valable pour toute la durée du séjour au Brésil

• document portant les noms complets des parents ou, pour les étrangers ayant résidé anterieurement au Brésil, votre "Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros" (RNE).
• formulaire de demande de visa : cliquez ici pour aller sur le Formulaire
• une photo récente, format identité (3,5 x 4,5), de face sur fond clair
• extrait de casier judiciaire nr.3 récent (moins de trois mois). Le visa ne sera accordé que sous présentation d'un extrait en cours de validité.
• lettre par laquelle l'employeur décrit clairement la nature et la durée de la mission et déclare que le salaire du demandeur proviendra intégralement de l'étranger
• Pour les ressortissants étrangers : Joindre également le formulaire d'informations complété

A noter : Le consulat est en droit de réclamer tout document supplémentaire qu'il jugerait nécéssaire.

ATTENTION: il ne sera pas délivré de visa au dépendent d'un titulaire de visa VITEM à qui il reste moins de 180 jours de séjour au Brésil.

• acte d'engagement de responsabilité signé par le titulaire du VITEM à l'intention du dépendent, fait ou authentifié soit par un notaire brésilien ou français, soit par l'autorité consulaire
• document portant les noms complets des parents ou, pour les étrangers ayant résidé anterieurement au Brésil, votre "Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros" (RNE).
• acte de mariage, dans le cas d'un conjoint, ou de naissance, dans le cas d'un enfant

• attestation de résidence du dépendent dans la circonscription consulaire
• extrait de casier judiciaire récent (moins de 3 mois) du dépendant (modèle nr.3)

VISA DE COURTOISIE

Les membres des entités qui intègrent la FAMILLE OLYMPIQUE ET PARALYMPIQUE INTERNATIONALE peuvent solliciter ce type de visa, moyennant la présentations des documents suivants:

1. Note Verbale ou Lettre d'Invitation du Comité Organisateur des JO Rio 2016;
2. formulaire rempli, disponible en ligne (cliquez ici);
3. passeport dont la validité doit être d’au moins 6 mois à compter de la date d’entrée sur le territoire brésilien; et
4. une photo d’identité.

Ceux qui ne se trouvent pas dans le cas ci-dessus, devront solliciter un visa de Courtoisie, moyennant l’accord préalable du Ministère des Relations Extérieures.

VISA TEMPORAIRE V

PROFESSIONEL SOUS CONTRAT AVEC LE BRÉSIL: l’accord préalable du Ministère du Travail et Emploi brésilien est nécessaire pour l’obtention, au Consulat, de ce type de visa temporaire.

Ce visa temporaire sera gratuit et demandé directement au Consulat général, moyennant la présentation des documents suivants:

1. formulaire rempli, disponible en ligne (cliquez ici);
2. passeport dont la validité doit être d’au moins 6 mois à compter de la date d’entrée sur le territoire brésilien;
3. une photo d’identité; et
4. acte de naissance.

 

PROFESSIONEL SANS CONTRAT AVEC LE BRÉSIL (RN 98/12 e 112/14): Pourront bénéficier de ce type de visa, sans accord :

• Professionnels des entreprises détenteurs de droits de transmission ;
• Professionnels avec contrat signé avec les Comités Olympiques, Paralympiques et Fédérations Sportives Internationales;
• Professionnels des entreprises qui sponsorisent l’événement ;
• Professionnels travaillant dans les navires frétés par le Comité par le Comité Organisateur des Jeux et qui ne détiennent pas le Livret Maritime;
• Professionnels chargés de l’Organisation et de la Cérémonie des Jeux Rio 2016;
• D’autres professionnels qui viennent exercer d’autres activités en rapport avec les Jeux.

Ce visa temporaire sera gratuit et demandé directement  au Consulat général, moyennant la présentation des documents suivants:

1. formulaire rempli, disponible en ligne (cliquez ici);
2. passeport dont la validité doit être d’au moins 6 mois à compter de la date d’entrée sur le territoire brésilien;
3. une photo d’identité;
4. lettre du Comité Organisateur, informant le lien de l’étranger avec les activités du Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de Rio 2016;
5. attestation d'Assurance Médical au nom du demandeur couvrant les frais de santé et hospitalisation au Brésil; et
6. acte de naissance.

Tous les deux cas de visas temporaire V pourront s’étendre aux dépendants légaux, moyennant la présentation de la documentation listée sur le site et le paiement du mandat compte de 100 euros. Il est également obligatoire la présentation, selon le cas, de l'acte de naissance, de mariage ou de livret de famille.

 

 

RETRAIT DU VISA PAR VSI (dépot fait par le passager)

VSI peut se charger du retrait de votre visa. Pour cela il faut nous fournir :

• Bon de commande VSI en 2 exemplaires
• Reçu du consulat original
• Procuration à VSI 

 

Le retrait ne pourra se faire qu'à compter de la date indiquée sur votre reçu.
