Request for VISA CROATIA

  • There is no need for a visa for French nationals and EU nationals if they stay less than 90 days (3 months). These persons are allowed to enter and stay in Croatia on presentation of a valid National Identity Card or Passport.
  • Unfortunately, VSI can not act as an intermediary for other nationals , the applicant has to travel to the Consulate (no visa applications sent by mail or fax will be processed).

For persons requiring a visa to enter the territory, you will find below the list of formalities: documents required, rates.

Documents to provide

All documents provided must be original or certified copies

ANY VISA REQUEST (In / Out, Transit)

  • Original passport valid 3 months after the date of return
  • Visa application form
  • 1 color photo (size 3,5 x 4,5 cm)
  • A proof of work (last 3 salary bulletins for example)
  • Copy of residence permit (resident card) or temporary residence permit or receipt
  • Certificate of hotel reservation or a certificate of accommodation

Or

  • Original letter of invitation issued by an individual or a legal person (certified by a Croatian notary or the consulate) - this type of letters can be consulted on the website http://www.mfa.hr .

STUDENT

Foreign students pursuing higher education in Croatian universities as part of the European programs Erasmus and Erasmus Mundus now have the possibility of regularizing their temporary stay in Croatia.

To do so, they must apply for a temporary visa at the police headquarters of their place of residence in Croatia

EXTENDING VISA

Reasons for an extended stay:
- professional activity
- family reunion
- scientific research
- humanitarian activities

- family reunion

  • Original passport valid 3 months after the date of return
  • Completed and signed extended stay application form
  • 2 color photos (3x3,5 cm)
  • Certified photocopy of valid passport
  • Proof of financial resources (certificate of salary by the employer, statement of bank account, etc.)
  • Proof of accommodation or dwelling (deed of ownership, rental contract, contract of sale, certificate of lodging signed and dated by a notary + proof of identity of the person who hosts you.)
  • Proof of health insurance
  • Work Permit (to be requested from the employer in Croatia)
  • Certificate attesting that the person concerned has a criminal record which is less than 6 months old
  • Document justifying the purpose of the extended stay (letter of company for example)

Documents specific to family reunification:

1. If you are married:

  • Extract of the marriage certificate (multilingual - according to the Vienna Convention) dating from less than 6 months
  • Proof of identity of the spouse (certified photocopy of his identity card if the cohabitant is of Croatian nationality or his residence permit in Croatia

2. If you are cohabiting:

  • Declaration of concubinage signed and certified by the notary
  • Proof of identity of the cohabiting partner (certified photocopy of his identity card if the cohabitant is of Croatian nationality or of his residence permit in Croatia as well as his birth certificate dating less than 6 months.

3. Family relationship with a Croatian national or a resident alien in Croatia:

Info TRANSIT

Persons in transit through Croatia must have an entry visa issued by the competent authorities of the country of destination, if they require a visa for that country.

Children's info

All minors must have either a valid individual passport or a valid identity card (for EU nationals) or be entered on the passport of one of the parents or guardians

It is also advisable for minors with a surname other than their parent (s), to bring a plurilingual birth certificate, issued by the town hall of the place of birth.
