VISA ETHIOPIE Application

Information to know:

• Transit : it is possible to stay in transit for 12 hours with the continuation ticket. Leaving the airport is not allowed.

• Health : Yellow fever vaccine recommended

• Children: A complete visa application must be completed for each child.

O Minors traveling alone : Provide in addition to the formalities Tourism: an authorization to leave the territory of both parents + copy of the family booklet

O Minors traveling with one of the parents: Provide in addition to the formalities Tourism: Authorization to leave the territory of the other parent + copy of the family booklet

VISA BUSINESS

• VSI order form in 2 copies
• Passepor t original valid for at least 3 months
• Copy of the first two pages of the passport in color
• 1 original color picture (not scanned)
• 1 original visa application form
• Mission letter from the French company indicating the reason and dates of the trip, bearing the commercial stamp
• Electronic flight ticket or return itinerary or travel agency certificate
• Permission to Immigrate : the company in Ethiopia must request this document from the Immigration Service, which will then send it to the Embassy. Attach a copy to the file.
• For Europeans residing in France : proof of residence
• For foreigners residing in France (outside Europe) : Provide in addition a copy of the residence permit

Information for Journalists or Filming Teams

Journalists or film crews wishing to travel to Ethiopia should contact the Press Department in person with the following documents:

Attetion:

- It takes at least 15 working days to obtain a visa for journalists or film crews
- All documents must be written in English
- You are advised not to buy your plane ticket until you have obtained your permission and filming permission

1. Engagement letter
2. Name and nationality of the journalist or members of the crew: Photocopies of passports
3. Two-sided photocopy of the identity card or residence card
4. Purpose of the report or shoot
5. List of press or audio-visual materials with serial number
6. Duration of reporting or filming
7. Reporting and filming locations
8. Movie title and synopsis
9. Previous report or shoot in Ethiopia (if there is one)

VISA TOURISM

• VSI order form in 2 copies
• Original passport valid for at least 3 months
• Copy of the first two pages of the color passport
• 1 original color picture (not scanned)
• 1 original visa application form
• Electronic flight ticket or return itinerary or travel agency certificate
• Hotel reservation
• For Europeans residing in France : proof of residence
• For foreigners living in France (outside Europe) : Provide in addition a copy of the residence permit

TOURIST VISA ON ARRIVAL - eVisa 

If you want VSI to take in charge the evisa process, please send us by email at evisa@vsi-visa.com the following documents:

• Copy of the passport (identification page ), in colors. The passport has to contain at least 2 blank pages and be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in India. Temporary passport is not accepted.
• 1 photo in color
• VSI order form - eVIsa
• Visa apllication form completed

Processing time : from 1 to 4 days currently.

Once the approval is obtained, VSI will send you the document you will have to provide on arrival. 

 The e-visa is valid for only 30 days and allows you to enter Ethiopia only once (stay of up to 30 days or 90 days following your request), and cannot be modified or extended on site

VISA EXPATRIATION

Apply for a business visa valid for 3 months and then once on the territory, apply for a resident visa.

Attention: Since the withdrawal of passports with visa is done in the afternoon, we can not make delivery by courier VSI the same day of the withdrawal.
