TOURISM

  • VSI order form x2
  • Original passport valid 6 months after the return date + 1 copy (page where the picture appears)
  • Completed and signed visa application form
  • 2 pictures
  • Photocopy of the residence card for foreigners living in France, valid for 3 months from the date of entry in Mauritius
  • Certificate of travel agency or Copy of ticket A / R
  • Confirmation of hotel reservation for the duration of the stay , document from the hotel in Mauritius
  • Proofs relating to subsistence expenses (US $ 100 per day)

If staying at the inhabitant, provide in place of the hotel reservation:

  • Letter of accommodation
  • Copy of the identity document of the hosting company
  • Electricity or telephone bill from the hosting company

Attention: Non-European citizens must have a residence permit valid for 3 months from the date of entry into Mauritius

Algerian nationals living in France can obtain a visa upon arrival if the stay is less than 15 days.

It will be necessary on arrival in Mauritius to present the following documents:

  • Original Passport
  • Confirmed and registered hotel reservation
  • Original stay card
  • Roundtrip ticket
  • Proof of sufficient resources: bank card or cash (100 € / day)

BUSINESS

  • VSI order form in 2 copies
  • Original passport valid 6 months after the return date + 1 copy (page where the picture appears)

WORK / EXPATRIATION

The statutes of "resident" and "permanent resident" are regulated by "immigration act".

The "Passport and Immigration Office", rue Lislet Geoffroy in Port Louis and the services of the Prime Minister ("Resident permit" office) can be consulted for any information relating to residence permits.

For any professional activity: a work permit is required and conditions the issuance of the residence permit (resident permit).

DIPLOMATIC

French citizens holding a service or diplomatic passport do not need a visa. The passport must be valid 6 months after the return and the Note Verbale must be presented on arrival.

Health:

It is strongly advised to take out insurance covering medical and repatriation costs.

Persons undergoing medical treatment are strongly advised to request from their treating physician the prescription of a stock of medicines covering a period of 10 days of treatment beyond the expected end of the stay.

Caution: Due to import restrictions on certain pharmaceutical products, it is recommended that you obtain a medical prescription to justify the possession of medicines, if any. This is not always sufficient: for example, even with a medical prescription, the importation of Di-antalvic is formally prohibited

Pets :

The importation of animals is strictly limited, with international regulatory documents, the animals are quarantined for a period of 6 months (lacking the regulatory documents, they are redirected at the expense of the owner). Veterinary service - pleasure craft - TV: 00.230.627.78.96.
