Visa exemption : Nationals of the following countries, who hold an ordinary passport, do not require a visa to enter Japan if the length of their stay is less than 90 days: Andorra, Argentina, Bahamas, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, FRANCE, Great Britain (British Citizen or British National Overseas passports), Guatemala, Honduras, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Macedonia, Zeeland, Norway, Portugal, Rep. Dominican Republic, El Salvador, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Surname, Sweden, Tunisia, Uruguay and USA. Non-exhaustive list may change at any time. Please contact us for confirmation before your departure.

• For people wishing to stay longer than the period allowed or for nationals who need a visa, it is necessary to approach the consulate of Japan.

The interested party must travel in person to the Consulate, with the originals of the required documents (except service visa).

We recommend calling before you travel to make an appointment.

• The visa is valid from the date of the appointment at the Consulate and for 3 months
