VISA MADAGASCAR Application

Information to know :

• Transit : it is possible to stay in transit for 24 hours with the continuation ticket.

• Health : Antimalarial treatment recommended.

• Children: A complete visa application must be completed for each child.

O Minors traveling alone : Provide in addition to the formalities Tourism: an authorization to leave the territory of both parents + copy of the family booklet

O Minors traveling with one of the parents: Provide in addition to the formalities Tourism: Authorization to leave the territory of the other parent + copy of the family booklet

VISA SHORT STAY

• VSI order form in 2 copies
• Original signed passport with a validity of more than 6 months after the foreseeable return date of Madagascar. The passport must contain at least 2 free pages
• Non-transformable short stay visa application form completed
• Two identical and recent identical identity photos-size 4.5cm x 3.5cm
• Invitation letter from the company to Madagascar with stamp and signature
• Copy of the round trip ticket or Certificate of reservation of flights with details issued by the travel agency (Booking number, flight number and timetable)

This visa allows you to stay maximum 90 days on the territory, for Business or Tourism.

VISA LONG STAY: Investor / Expatriated Worker / Internship / Mission / Retired / Family reunification

It is imperative to obtain the visa from a consulate or an embassy of Madagascar. In no case will this type of visa be available at the airport.

The visa that will be issued is valid for 1 month and allows only one entry in Madagascar but it can be transformed on the spot in Long Stay visa.

In the month following your arrival, you must contact the immigration authorities of the National Police (Ministry of the Interior) to obtain your residence permit according to the conditions required by this service.

The granting of a visa that can be converted into a long stay does not imply the automatic granting of a residence permit in Madagascar.

Documents to provide :

• VSI order form in 2 copies
• Original signed passport with a validity of more than 6 months after the date of return of Madagascar
• Form of application for visa for stay of more than 3 months filled (see attached file)
• Two identical and recent identity photos-size 4.5cm x 3.5cm
• Copy of the flight ticket GO, with flight details (booking number, flight number and timetable) and return ticket must be one MONTH after the departure date or ticket with the word "OPEN" on the coupon

To these documents it is necessary to add documents according to the reason:

For retirees:

• Certificate of retirement
• Opening a bank account or CCP in Madagascar
• Bank proof in Madagascar justifying that the account is well supplied by the Pension Fund or by an external bank (with order of permanent transfer)
• Extract from Criminal Record Newsletter N ° 3 (less than 3 months original)
• Certificate of change of residence (town hall in France)

For investors:

• Articles of Association of the Company (except for Sole Proprietorship)
• Statistical Map (Establishment Identification Card)
• Certificate of Registration (Tax Identification Number)
• Declaration of Existence (for companies)
• Extract Register of Commerce and Companies
• Bank Certificate issued by a Bank in Madagascar
• Extract from Criminal Record Newsletter N ° 3 (less than 3 months original)
• Birth certificate
• Certificate of change of residence (town hall in France)

Expatriate workers

• Employment contract issued by the employer in Madagascar
• Statutes of the Company-Employer or an extract from the Articles
• Certification of Application for Employment Authorization
• (Issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Laws - EDBM in Madagascar)
• Extract from Criminal Record Newsletter N ° 3 (less than 3 months original)
• Certificate of change of residence (town hall in France)

NB: The copy of the return ticket is one of the documents to be presented to the Ministry of the Interior in Madagascar when applying for a residence permit.

Internships over 3 months:

• Training agreement signed between the two parties (specific duration to be mentioned)
• Attestation + Certificate of accommodation and take-over issued by Madagascar
• Extract from Criminal Record Newsletter N ° 3 (less than 3 months original)

Mission of more than 3 months:

• Letter of mission or certificate issued by the Employer / Association in France (indicating the exact duration of the assignment)
• Attestation + Certificate of accommodation and take-over issued by Madagascar (indicating the exact duration of the mission)
• Extract from Criminal Record Newsletter N ° 3 (less than 3 months original)

In case of family reunification:

• Copy Malagasy passport or Malagasy Identity card of the spouse
• Certificate of residence of the spouse (s) or parents already established in Madagascar (recent)
• Extract Marriage Certificate or Family Book or Birth Certificate
• Extract from Criminal Record Newsletter N ° 3 (less than 3 months original)
• Certificate of change of residence issued by the City Council in France
• Visa copy of the spouse's passport or valid resident card (if the spouse is of foreign nationality).

The rates quoted are reduced by half for missionaries of any denomination and their spouses residing in Madagascar, as well as for students from the grandes écoles of Madagascar.
