For French nationals, a visa is not required for a stay of less than 90 days.

Many other nationalities are exempt from visa, contact us for more information.

After 90 days, you need a visa. You can choose to get it before departure or once there you can extend your stay with the services of Migracion y Extranjeria. You will find below the documents to obtain your visa before departure.

VISA LONG STAY

  • Purchase order VSI in 2 copies
  • Original passport valid for more than 6 months from the date of entry into Nicaragua
  • 3 original, recent color photographs (not scanned), without head covers and standard size glasses (4x5 cm)
  • Complete original application form
  • Original and photocopy of the return air ticket or Certificate of the travel agency
  • Letter of motivation indicating the reason and duration of the stay and your complete contact details in Nicaragua (address and telephone) and any other information justifying your visit, adressed to:

  • Work certificate or copy of the last 3 payslips
  • Certificate of sufficient means (letter from your bank attesting your solvency)
  • Medical certificate
  • Certificate of accommodation indicating the name, address and telephone number of the person who welcomes you
  • In the case of a business trip: Letter of mission from the French company or Certificate from your employer
  • Original and photocopy of the return air ticket or Certificate of the travel agency
  • For foreign nationals living in France: Resident card or Resident visa.
