BUSINESS TOURISM SERVICE VISA	Visa is not required if the stay is less than 3 months You must present a valid identity card or passport The agreement on the European Economic Area allows job-seekers, students or self-employed persons to work and study without a work permit For more than 3 months, you must apply for a residence permit. JOB	You must apply for a residence permit at the police station "Gronland Politistasjon" of the resident city Present the valid passport or identity card and a copy of the employment contract drawn up by the employer in Norway. The residence permit issued will be valid for the duration mentioned in the contract of employment, or valid for 5 years if the contract is a permanent contract. You must then register as a holder of a job with the National Civil Registry Service on which you depend "Folkoregisteret" to obtain a personal identification number.
LIVING PERMITS FOR NATIONALS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION	Residence permit If you intend to stay in Norway for more than 3 months, a residence permit is required. The application must be made during the first three months, at the police station in your city of residence. Have your passport or a valid identity card, as well as a confirmation of your employer's acceptance of your job application. If your employment contract covers less than one year, you will be issued a residence permit corresponding to the duration of the contract. If the employment contract is for an indefinite period, the residence permit granted will generally be valid for 5 years, renewable. You must register as a jobholder with the national civil registry office (folkeregisteret). Depending on the length of your stay, the civil registration service will assign you either a provisional number ("D") or a personal identification number ("ID").
