VISA SRI LANKA Application

Important information :

• For stay of less than 30 days in Tourist : The visa is not required, an Electronic Travel Authorization = ETA is required. VSI can obtain it for you.

• For stay of more than 30 jdays : a visa i srequired. VSI can take it in charge. Please ceck below the documents needed.

• Transit without visa:  Visa is not required for transit time less than 8h. Otherwise it is possible to obtain a transit visa (ETA) valid for 7 days.

• Visa on arrival : Nationals of Madives and Singapore can obtain a visa on arrival (free) for a max. stay of 30 days. National of any other country must obtain an ETA Electronic Travel Autorization. In this case the visa will be delivered on arrival for a max. stay of 30 days. 

TOURIST or BUSINESS VISA - ETA done by VSI for a max. stay of 30 days

If you would like VSI to take charge of obtaining your ETA, simply send us by email at evisa@vsi-visa.com or by simple mail the following documents:

• VSI order form in 2 copies
• Tourist application form fully completed
• Copy of your passport (identification page only). The passport has to be valid for 6 months (180 days exactly) from the date of arrival in Sri Lanka
• Copy of the flight ticket or reservation

• For tourist purpose, please add an Hotel reservation or a Certificate mentionning the name, adress, telephone, email address of the hotel or the inviting person in Sri Lanka

BUSINESS VISA

• VSI order form in 2 copies
• Original passeport original valid for 6 month (180 days exactly) from the date of arrival in Sri Lanka

• Business visa application form fully completed
• 2 photos in colors
• Mission letter from the french company, dated, signed and stamped. It has to mention the purpose of visit, the duration of stay, the name and address of the local company visited. It has to state who is going to take in charge the cost of travel
• Official invitation letter from the Immigration Service in Sri Lanka (your contact has to obtain it). If you have a non official invitation, the consulate will be asking for an autorization from the Immigration Dept. and it can take one month
• Copy of the flight reservation

TOURIST VISA (for stay of more than 30 days)

• VSI order form in 2 copies
• Original passeport original valid for 6 month (180 days exactly) from the date of arrival in Sri Lanka

• Tourist visa application form fully completed
• 2 photos in colors
• Hotel reservation or letter from the travel agency
• Copy of the flight reservation

WORK VISA

• VSI order form in 2 copies
• Original passeport original valid for 6 month (180 days exactly) from the date of arrival in Sri Lanka

• Work visa appliation form fully completed
• 2 photos in colors
