Information to know:

- Chinese nationals must travel directly to the Consulate after taking appointment. They can not go through an intermediary.
- Visa exemptions: Nationals of the following countries with an ordinary passport valid for at least 6 months (excluding temporary emergency passports) + presenting a return air ticket are exempt from visas if they stay less than 90 days : Germany Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France , Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA. Non-exhaustive list that can change at any time, contact us for verification.
- Visa upon arrival : Nationals of the countries mentioned above, who have a temporary emergency passport can obtain the visa upon arrival for 30 days of stay (reserved at certain points of entry in Taiwan)
- Children: A complete visa application must be completed for each child.
O Minors traveling alone : Provide in addition to the formalities Tourism: an authorization to leave the territory of both parents + copy of the family booklet

VISA BUSINESS
- VSI order form in duplicate
- Original passport valid for 6 months after the scheduled return date
- 2 original color photos (not scanned)
- 1 visa application form completed on the site: here (click on "General Visa Applications") then printed, dated and signed
- Mission letter from the French company indicating the reason and dates of the trip
- Invitation letter from the Taiwanese company indicating the reason and dates of the trip, with signature and commercial stamp
- Copy of the airline ticket or itinerary return or Certificate of travel agency specifying the dates of return travel
- Proof of resources (copy of pay slip or notice of taxation or certificate of the bank)
- For foreigners residing in France (outside Europe): Provide in addition a copy of the residence permit
VISA TOURISM
- VSI order form in duplicate
- Original passport valid for 6 months after the scheduled return date
- 2 original color photos (not scanned)
- 1 visa application form completed on the site: here (click on "General Visa Applications") then printed, dated and signed
- Copy of the airline ticket or itinerary return or Certificate of travel agency specifying the dates of return travel
- Proof of resources (copy of pay slip or notice of taxation or certificate of the bank)
- For foreigners residing in France (outside Europe): Provide in addition a copy of the residence permit
VISA STUDIES
To take Chinese courses in a language center or university:
- VSI order form in duplicate
- 1 visa application form completed on the site: here (click on "General Visa Applications") then printed, dated and signed (signature of one of the parents is compulsory if the person concerned is a minor)
- Original passport valid for 6 months after the scheduled return date
- 2 original color photos (not scanned)
- Letter of admission from the University of Taiwan specifying the duration of studies
- Letter of motivation and draft study
- Copy of the air ticket or itinerary
- Proof of personal resources of at least 600 € / month ( photocopy of pay slip, tax notice or bank certificate). If these resources come from the parents: proof of the parents' resource plus their handwritten declaration of care, signed, dated)
- Photocopy of the French residence permit for non-Schengen nationals
For university studies / exchanges of less than 180 days (according to the letter of university admission) :
- VSI order form in duplicate
- 1 visa application form completed on the site: here (click on "General Visa Applications") then printed, dated and signed (signature of one of the parents is compulsory if the person concerned is a minor)
- Original passport valid for 6 months after the scheduled return date
- 2 original color photos (not scanned)
- Letter of admission from the University of Taiwan specifying the duration of the studies or the university exchange
- A photocopy of the bilateral exchange agreement (in the case of an academic exchange)
- Copy of the air ticket or itinerary
- Proof of personal resources of at least 600 € / month ( photocopy of pay slip, tax notice or bank certificate). If these resources come from the parents: proof of the parents' resource plus their handwritten declaration of care, signed, dated)
- Photocopy of the French residence permit for non-Schengen nationals
For university studies / exchanges of more than 180 days (according to the letter of admission) :
You must apply for a resident visa and apply within 15 days of your arrival in Taiwan for an Alien Resident Certificate and the Reentry Permit from the National Immigration Bureau From Taiwan

- Medical Certificate signed and dated by a health professional
- Proof of personal resources of at least 600 € / month ( photocopy of pay slip, tax notice or bank certificate). If these resources come from the parents: proof of the parents' resource plus their handwritten declaration of care, signed, dated)
- A photocopy of the bilateral exchange agreement (in the case of an academic exchange)
- Copy of the air ticket or itinerary
- Photocopy of the French residence permit for non-Schengen nationals.
- Photocopy of the French student card
IMPORTANT: Those who leave for Taiwan outside a university exchange framework must have the original documents, translations of the last diploma and the transcripts of the original documents, legalized first by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then by the consulate. Note of all the years of study ( VSI can do it ).
If the last diploma and the transcripts are not issued by French institutions, please contact the consulate for the procedure of legalization.

The single-entry visitor visa allows you to stay up to 60 days, starting the day after arrival. It is possible to extend the stay with the services of the National Office of Immigration of Taiwan provided that the request is presented 15 days before the authorized stay.
Visa multiple entries, available only for French and other Schengen countries . The visitor visa with multiple entry, valid for 6 months, each entry allows you to stay with each entry up to 60 days, from the day after the arrival. It is possible to extend the stay of each entry with the services of the National Office of Immigration of Taiwan provided that the request is presented 15 days before the authorized stay.
